The American Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (AmPharMA) has been established in 2008 as a non-profit organization and it currently unites 7 US research-based pharmaceutical companies, represented in Bulgaria. Its members are devoted to research of innovative pharmaceutical products, which save human life or improve its quality.

The fundamental priority of the organization is by its activities to contribute to the protection and safeguarding of human health and to provide for the higher quality of life of every Bulgarian citizen by improving access to modern, effective and safe medical products, manufactured according to the highest international standards.

AmPharMA supports healthcare and pharmaceutical policy which guarantees the rights of patients to access healthcare treatment and simultaneously provides for favorable environment for investment and economic development.

AmPharMA works in close cooperation with the Association of the Research-based Pharmaceutical Companies in Bulgaria (www.arpharm.org) and serves as an official channel for communication between its members and the US Embassy in Bulgaria. It establishes active relations with international organizations as Pharmaceutical Manufactures of America (PhARMA), American Chamber of Commerce and others, which have similar goals, for exchange of knowledge, best practices and information.
